Cocoon Studio will be a new neighborhood movement studio opening soon near Newkirk Plaza, in the heart of Ditmas Park, Brooklyn.

Cocoon will offer yoga, Pilates, and fitness classes (bodyweight only, no reformers) that feel accessible, supportive, and enjoyable, along with workshops focused on well-being, movement, and parenting.

Our intention is simple: to create YOUR FEEL-GOOD SPACE, a place where movement is for everyone, and where all bodies, all ages, and all levels are welcome, all day long.

Right now, we are looking for Yoga instructors to join our teaching team.

We plan to offer a wide range of yoga classes throughout the day, including:

• Open-level / Beginner - Basics / Advanced Vinyasa yoga
• Ashtanga / Hatha yoga
• Yin / Restorative yoga
• Meditation & breath-focused classes
• Flow Yoga & Cardio
• Yoga for Kids

Classes will be small and cozy, with 10–12 people per session, allowing for personalized guidance and connection.

We’re Looking for Teachers Who:

• Lead engaging, motivating, and professional yoga classes
• Demonstrate and teach foundational yoga poses as well as advanced sequences
• Create a positive, supportive experience that inspires students to return
• Guide students with attention to breath, alignment, and personal sensation
• Build genuine connections with students before and after class
• Contribute to a warm, welcoming studio atmosphere

Requirements & Qualities:

• 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (minimum)
• Experience teaching one or more yoga styles
• Strong focus on safe, sustainable movement
• Clear cueing and mindful sequencing
• A genuine desire to make yoga accessible to everyone
• Comfort working with beginners, advanced students, seniors, and diverse bodies
• Interest in building community and connection with students and the Cocoon team
• CPR / AED certification is a plus

More About Cocoon Studio:

Cocoon is independently run by a couple passionate about movement and community, one a certified yoga instructor, the other a personal trainer. The studio is under renovation and is just 2 minutes from the subway (B/Q). Opening planned for mid-to-end January!
