Job Description

A client with a national presence, is seeking a skilled Trusts & Estates Attorney to join their growing practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in estate planning and administration, along with a solid foundation in tax considerations affecting individuals, trusts, and business entities. This role will sit in a hybrid setup in Madison, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related instruments
• Manage estate administration matters, including interaction with fiduciaries and beneficiaries
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, client communications, and advisory materials
• Advise clients on estate, gift, and related tax implications
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas as needed

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• LL.M. in Taxation (completed or in progress) strongly preferred
• Admission to practice in New Jersey required
• Admission in New York and/or Florida is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in estate planning and estate administration
• Demonstrated ability to draft and review complex estate planning documents

Preferred (Not Required) Experience

• Preparation of federal and state gift and estate tax returns
• Understanding of tax issues related to the formation and operation of trusts
• Exposure to corporate or partnership tax matters, especially involving business transactions, mergers, or acquisitions
