Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Trust & Estates Attorney for a well-established, collaborative law firm. This is a highly client-facing role requiring the ability to independently manage complex estate planning and trust/estate administration matters from start to finish. This position is not a junior or drafting-only role.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on sophisticated estate planning strategies, including tax minimization and long-term family objectives
• Draft complex estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
• Manage trust and estate administration matters end-to-end, including asset collection, valuation, and distribution
• Prepare and review federal and state estate and gift tax returns
• Represent clients in probate proceedings
• Work closely with attorneys and support staff in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Maintain a high level of direct client interaction and advisory responsibility

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active Illinois Bar license
• 7+ years of experience in estate planning, trust & estate administration, and probate
• Demonstrated experience handling complex trust planning matters
• Strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills
• Proven ability to manage client relationships independently
