Job Description
Pennant Solutions Group is hiring for a strong Telecommunications Installer in Glen Allen, VA.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the physical installation of land mobile radio and other telecommunications equipment at a variety of customer sites, including commercial and government buildings, as well as outdoor telecom shelters.
Key Responsibilities:
Install networking, server, workstation, and ancillary hardware for commercial and government radio systems, E911 technologies, and related telecom solutions
Mount indoor and outdoor antennas on various structures
Pull and route data and coaxial cables throughout buildings and other environments
Terminate cabling using appropriate connectors
Test antenna and cable installations to ensure compliance with performance standards
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and parts in the installation vehicle
Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and relevant industry standards
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
Familiarity with cable testing and diagnostic equipment
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in building, mechanical, or industrial trades preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to climb, work at heights, bend, pull, reach overhead, and stand or walk for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and pull cables through varied cable paths
