Job Description
LHH has partnered with a nonprofit organization in Washington, DC to identify an Accounts Payable Accountant! This role will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team and will focus on general accounts payable operations along with transactional accounting and general ledger management.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries.
Reconcile vendor accounts and A/P ledgers.
Produce and analyze financial reports and resolve discrepancies.
Process invoices and complete payments to vendors.
Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies on invoices.
Verify correct general ledger account codes.
Generate and analyze A/P aging reports.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
Nonprofit experience preferred.
Experience with ERP systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
