As a Security Professional - Armed Transportation Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a transportation-focused location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This driving and armed post gives you the opportunity to build strong relationships with the public while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards found during patrols within the facility and surrounding areas.
  • Work closely with site personnel and law enforcement when required, providing detailed information as necessary.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to daily activities, incidents, and/or any security-related matters encountered while on patrol.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use and handling of assigned firearms and comply with all company and site-specific armed post requirements.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials as needed to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
  • An armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
