This role requires advanced scheduling expertise with Primavera P6 to develop, maintain, and analyze cost- and resource-loaded Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules. The Scheduler will provide accurate planning, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring alignment across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover. The position involves close collaboration with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and owners’ representatives to maintain schedule integrity and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and validate schedule update data from project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and owners’ representatives, and incorporate approved updates into the schedule.
  • Establish and maintain project schedule baselines in compliance with contractual requirements, monitoring performance and identifying variances.
  • Build and manage cost- and resource-loaded schedules, update actuals to support earned value, and generate standard reports including critical activities, baseline deviations, earned value indices, and cash flow.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages, including narratives and KPI summaries for management and client review.
  • Develop detailed CPM schedules from the ground up for proposals and active projects.
  • Perform network logic analysis to validate sequencing, float accuracy, and critical path alignment.
  • Conduct “what-if” and time-impact analyses to evaluate risks, delays, and recovery options.
  • Facilitate schedule coordination meetings with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Support planning sessions such as pull planning to align construction sequencing and commissioning requirements.
  • Provide clear, data-driven schedule insights that support executive decision-making and project delivery.

Requirements

  • Available to work on site multiple days per week.
  • Proven experience scheduling large public construction projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with cost- and resource-loaded schedules and earned value systems.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing.
  • Knowledge of schedule risk analysis, delay analysis, and recovery planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Haskell, Texas; this is a full-time onsite role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite at the Los Angeles project site. Work will be performed in both office and active construction environments, requiring regular field walks and coordination with project teams and contractors. Opportunity for remote work is available when coordinated with the on site project team.

Benefits

  • Training and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborative work environment with opportunities for growth.
