Overview: The Ocean Import/Export Coordinator will manage international freight shipments, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and timely delivery of goods. This role involves coordinating with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to streamline import/export operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate ocean freight shipments from origin to destination, including booking, documentation, and tracking.
• Prepare and review import/export documentation (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists).
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and international trade regulations.
• Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and update shipment tracking systems.
• Support logistics analytics and cost-saving initiatives.

Required Skill:

• SAP or Transportation Management Systems (TMS) experience is highly valued, especially for freight rate setup, carrier selection, and logistics reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in ocean freight or international logistics.
• Strong understanding of Incoterms, customs procedures, and freight tariffs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and logistics software.

Compensation:

• Hourly Range: $23 – $29 per hour, based on experience.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $29.00 per hour
