Job Description
We are seeking an experienced NP to join our team at Wellness and Pain. This role of Nurse Practitioner will work closely with potential patients in a Multispecialty Practice in New York and New Jersey. This position will require strong clinical skills, multitasking and excellent communication.
General Responsibilities
· Specialize in education, developing care plans and treatments for:
· Venous disease, Blood Flow and Circulation and Varicose and Spider Veins
· Conservative and Interventional Pain Management of the Spine and Joints
· Sleep Disorders and Sleep Apnea
· Wellness Initiatives including Weight Loss, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Peptide Therapy, Regenerative Medicine
· Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, medical assistants and medical massage therapists to develop individualized care plans
· Order and interpret diagnostic testing including x-rays, MRI, ultrasound, sleep studies and blood work
Primary Responsibilities
· Work as the lead medical/clinical provider as part of an event care team at screening events in different locations in NY and NJ including municipalities, places of business, and corporations.
· Evaluate, help diagnose, and interpret studies performed at events focusing on vascular health, blood flow and circulation, veins, pain, sleep and wellness.
· Help schedule patients for office visit follow ups or procedures as indicated.
Secondary Responsibilities
· Work in the offices alongside the event team, call center team and other members of the practice to assist with follow up after screening events in order to further develop plans of care.
· In office patient care including evaluating, diagnosing, and interpreting studies and bloodwork performed also focusing on vascular health, blood flow and circulation, veins, pain, sleep and wellness.
· Coverage of office hours and other providers as needed
· Help schedule patients for further office visit follow ups or procedures as indicated.
Qualifications
· Valid Nurse Practitioner license- NJ/NY is preferred
· Ability to understand and learn different diagnostic studies and treatment modalities to assist with pain management, vascular health and sleep apnea
· Excellent communication skills
· Compassionate patient care approach
· Multitasking
· Experience with EMR and different tracking software such as Excel, ECW etc.
· Ability to travel in NY and NJ
· Willingness to learn new care pathways
