For over 40 years, our company has proudly provided reliable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services across multiple counties in Northern California. As we continue to grow, we are looking for dedicated drivers to join our team and help make a difference in the lives of our clients.
Position Overview
As an NEMT driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting clientsmany of whom may use wheelchairs or gurneysto and from medical appointments and other essential engagements. Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients in company vehicles to and from scheduled destinations.
- Operate wheelchair and gurney lifts with care and according to safety protocols.
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections including fuel, fluids, tires, lights, and brakes.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or client-related incidents immediately.
- Maintain clean, well-fueled, and properly equipped vehicles.
- Accurately complete trip documentation using company applications.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures, including COVID-19 protocols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch and clients.
- Instruct clients on safe riding procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid California Drivers License with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 23 years of age.
- Able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Able to pass criminal background check.
- Ability to complete and maintain CPR/First Aid certification and DOT physical exam.
- Compassionate, professional, and reliable demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Previous NEMT driving experience is a plusbut not required.Training provided!
