Position Overview:

An established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support its insurance coverage litigation team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation attorneys and paralegals.
• Review and proofread correspondence and legal documents with strong attention to detail.
• Prepare accurate legal documents and correspondence in a timely manner.
• File briefs and other legal documents with federal, state, and appellate courts electronically or by courier with minimal supervision.
• Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments, meetings, and deadlines using Outlook.
• Calculate and enter case-related deadlines into the firm's docketing system.
• Maintain and organize electronic client files.
• Prepare shells for pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence.
• Coordinate depositions, including booking court reporters and managing logistics.
• Handle general reception and office coordination duties.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10+ years of litigation experience in a law firm environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Extensive experience with State and Federal e-filing systems.
• Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Proficient to advanced skills in PDF software (Adobe, Nuance/Kofax, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work independently.
• Excellent grammar, punctuation, and proofreading abilities.
• Experience with iManage or a comparable document management system.

Salary: $70-$85k/yr.
