About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head for its Ocean Marine practice, which is poised for significant growth within the specialty, Inland Marine business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and develop this practice, bringing their expertise to an already thriving and award-winning environment. This role is ideal for a proven Marine Vice President or Head of Marine with a desire for an entrepreneurial challenge, or for a #2 within a marine division looking to take the next step and make a name for themselves. The Head of Ocean Marine will be responsible for running an existing team and will be expected to have the ability to open doors with brokers, attract capacity from insurers and reinsurers, and recruit a strong network of Underwriters for the team. Applicants for the Head of Ocean Marine position at the company should be based anywhere across the US and have a background in either Hull & Machinery, P&I, or Marine Cargo. The role requires a candidate with experience as a Marine Underwriter and a strong professional network. The ideal candidate will be naturally driven, entrepreneurial, and excited about the long-term earning potential of the role. The focus is on building something special from the ground up, and the company is looking for someone who is not only capable of leading a team but is also passionate about the growth and success of the practice.
