Position Summary:

The Operator is responsible for following all equipment standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes within dough processing work areas. Operate industrial equipment safely and effectively in freezing, packaging, and raw ingredient work areas. Assist with operation of mixing and sheeting equipment. May perform multiple job functions through the course of a scheduled shift.

Bakery Production Worker Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)

• Packaging Operator : Operate high-speed industrial packaging equipment: stick sorter/counter, box maker, box liner, checkweigher, case sealer, metal detector, case coder, and palletizer, to maintain product quality and production schedules.

• Assist Mixing and Sheeting Lead Operators as operations require

• Follow all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices

• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe; Participate in weekly and master sanitation schedules

• Follow production schedule; read and follow formulas; enter data into program and on paper

• Perform duties with speed and precision while maintaining a high regard for workplace safety

• Trained in the fundamentals of food safety, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices

• Follow food safety and food defense practices daily; use reporting standards for any failures or exceptions to processes and/or food quality

• Perform other duties as needed in accordance with the organization’s policies and regulations

Bakery Production Worker Shift Info

• Graveyard 6:00pm-6:30am

• Tuesday-Thursday- Possible Fridays

• This is a Part time position

• Available shifts are Graveyard at this time

  Upcoming Shift Schedule changed

• Monday-Friday

• Swing- 2;00pm-10:00pm

• Graveyard- 10:00pm-6:30am

• Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) include:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership

  • Ability to teach, coach and train other associates within work area(s)

  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications; specifically using Word to create and modify documents, Excel to record data and calculate results, (spreadsheets are data entry and calculations from formulas embedded in templates)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities at one time using effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.

  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  Work Environment:

  • Fast paced work environment with, in and around industrial machinery with moving parts, conveyors and pinch points

  • Noise levels vary and can be loud in warehouse; bulk receiving areas, and processing

  • Hearing and eye protection required and provided in designated work areas
