JOB SUMMARY

The Fitness Instructor is responsible for designing and implementing group fitness classes, performing a mild to moderate session that leads students through exercises that help improve strength, flexibility, and balance. Assists all guests with proper techniques, providing motivation to ensure achievement of personal wellness goals. Effectively communicates with guests to understand their needs and areas of concern, while maintaining a high level of customer service standards. Builds connections with guests and drives attendance within each class.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Adhere to TRILOGY’s “Flawless Service, Every Guest, Every Day” philosophy and Spa policy and procedures.
• Anticipate guest needs and uphold Spa and TRILOGY’s service standards for guest service.
• Interact cooperatively and professionally with guests, partners and Wellness Program Manager, demonstrating respect, sensitivity, and attentiveness, following all company guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of all group fitness classes and programs.
• Comply with and maintain safety, sanitation, and disinfection standards, properly clean and sanitize products, rooms, tools and equipment, following TRILOGY and State Governing Boards requirements and guidelines.
• Ensure fitness area lighting and music levels are correctly set and maintained.
• Ensure guests practice safety during exercise sessions.
• Understand emergency procedures and accident prevention policies.
• Ensure guests’ safety by reporting unsafe equipment.
• Provide guests with a tour of the facility, as needed.
• Communicate guest complaints or any maintenance issues to Management.
• Attend mandatory vendor and company training sessions, as scheduled by Management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, or any other combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and capabilities.
• Must hold a Nationally recognized Group Fitness Instructor Certification.
• Maintain working knowledge of the following: Free weights, benches, cable weights, Cybex equipment, Cross-trainers, treadmills, stationary bikes, stair climbing machines, exercise balls, etc.
• Ideally, familiar with the local market, have a following, and be proficient at utilizing social media to market themselves and their classes.
• Must be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English.
• CPR and First Aid certified.

COMPENSATION: $40.00 per hour
