Weekday shifts: Mon–Fri, 9:00–2:00 or 2:00–7:00
Store hours for customers: 10:00–6:00
Location: Red Shirt Farm Market, Lanesborough, MA
One of our great team members is heading back to school—so we’re looking for an energetic, people-first teammate to help run our farm store. If you care about good food, enjoy fast, hands-on work, and like helping neighbors find what they need, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll do
Welcome customers, answer questions, and share simple cooking tips
Run the register (Square POS), handle cash/card/EBT accurately
Stock shelves and coolers; rotate produce (FIFO) and build clean, attractive displays
Set up and break down produce displays : 9–10 a.m. to set the floor, 6–7 p.m. to shuttle produce to/from the walk-ins and reset for the next day
Move cases in and out of the walk-in; keep back-of-house organized
Light cleaning to keep the store sparkling (sweep, wipe, tidy, compost/trash)
Schedule
Part-time, weekdays only
Shifts available: 9:00–2:00and 2:00–7:00(tell us your availability)
You are
18+ , reliable, punctual, and friendly with great customer service instincts
Able to lift 40 lb , be on your feet for a full 5-hour shift, and work briefly in a cold room
Detail-oriented (you notice bruised greens, crooked labels, low stock) with a merchandising eye
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and clear in your team communication
Food-safety minded (handwashing, temps, cross-contamination basics)
Confident with basic math/cash-handling and willing to learn
Nice to have (we can train the rest)
Square POS experience
Retail grocery or café experience
Familiarity with produce and a love of cooking
