Shifts: 8-hour shifts (Weekend, Evening, Overnight preferred)
Trauma Level: III
Annual ER Volume: 55,000
Beds: 32
EMR: Meditech
Credentialing Timeline: 3 monthsClinical Responsibilities
- Emergency Department coverage in an 8-hour shift model
- No responsibility for inpatient admissions (covered by Hospitalist or admitting services)
- No ED responsibility for codes
- ED supervises ambulance/paramedics by radio
- Approximately 30% of ED patients are admitted daily
- Deliveries are directed to Labor & Delivery (not ED)
Support Infrastructure
- APP Coverage: Yes
- On-call Response Time Requirement: 30 minutes
- Full Specialty Backup: As part of a 298-bed teaching hospital
- EMR: Meditech
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of EM Residency)
- Active MA medical license Highly Preferred
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS (ATLS required at least once in career)
- Availability details must be submitted
- Local providers strongly preferred
