E-Billing Specialist -- Seattle Law Firm

Large Seattle law firm is seeking an experienced E-Billing professional.

Qualified candidates must have legal/law firm industry experience in addition to experience utilizing several e-billing platforms.

Position Overview:

The Electronic Billing (E-billing) Specialist will be responsible for managing the e-billing process by efficiently and accurately handling electronic billing and e-invoicing tasks. This role requires a highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and time management skills, along with a solid background in accounting or billing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, review and process incoming electronic invoices from clients, ensuring billing accuracy, timeliness and compliance with invoicing guidelines, billing rates, and contractual terms.
• Resolve any billing discrepancies or billing errors promptly and communicate with clients or attorneys regarding any unresolved issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including the accounting team, billing team, and IT team, to streamline e-billing processes and resolve any technical or accounting issues.
• Prepare and submit electronic bills to clients, adhering to various billing formats and electronic platforms.
• Maintain complete and accurate e-billing records by reviewing accounts receivable reports, following up on collections, and reconciling to the general ledger.
• Stay updated with industry best practices, new technologies, and regulations related to e-billing processes.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Experience in e-billing from a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experienced with legal specific billing software such as Elite, 3E or Aderant is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, attorneys, and internal departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software and electronic billing platforms.
• Self-starter and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
