CFO Opportunity

Michelle Espejo with Robert Half Financial Services is recruiting a CFO for a fast-growing venture capital firm. This full-time, permanent role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid schedule. The firm is transforming how traditional industries adopt modern software and technology and has a strong track record with top-tier institutional partnerships. The head of finance and operations will play a key role in scaling the firm and driving finance and operational processes. Responsibilities:

• Lead financial operations across funds, GP entities, and the management company, including audits, reporting, and fund administrator relationships.
• Partner on fund structures, co-investment programs, LP due diligence, and investment closings.
• Build operational policies, compliance frameworks, and valuation standards.
• Collaborate with engineering to optimize systems and data processes.
• Mentor a team and improve workflows across the platform.

Requirements:

• 10+ years in venture capital, private equity, fund administration, or senior finance and operations roles.
• Currently at another VC fund.
• Strong knowledge of fund mechanics, legal structures, reporting, and compliance.
• Experience leading finance and operations functions with accountability.
• Ability to work with IR teams on fund structures and investor engagement.
• Financial acumen paired with operational skills and a focus on building scalable systems.
