Brand & Motion Designer

About SweatPals

SweatPals is the community-first fitness platform turning workouts into social adventures. Backed by a16z, Kevin Hart, and other world-class investors, we connect hundreds of thousands of “Pals,” hosts, and gyms through events, memberships, and social features.

We believe fitness should be joyful, social, and inclusive — not just a solo grind. From run clubs and beach pilates to pickleball leagues and cold plunge socials, SweatPals turns everyday workouts into meaningful social experiences.

We also empower local leaders to grow their communities from side hustles to full-time, even million-dollar businesses. Hosts use SweatPals to run their business, from ticketing and memberships to marketing and POS tools.

As we scale, design is at the heart of how we stand out. We’re looking for a Brand & Motion Designer to bring our MetaLab-led rebrand to life — making SweatPals feel vibrant, social, and trend-setting across every touchpoint.

What You’ll Do

You’ll own the visual and motion design execution across our brand, product, and campaigns, collaborating closely with design, product, and marketing teams.

  • Implement the rebrand guide across all channels (app, web, email, ads, decks, socials, merch)

  • Animate brand elements (logos, badges, iconography) for use across surfaces

  • Provide animation and graphic design support for new feature releases and product moments

  • Design campaign visuals: city launch kits, feature promos, and event playlists

  • Support growth marketing with high-ROAS ad creative and A/B test variations

  • Create reusable templates for email, social, and event collateral

  • Build and maintain motion design assets (animations, transitions, micro-interactions)

  • QA and ensure brand consistency across engineering, marketing, and partnerships

  • Elevate decks, investor materials, and internal docs with brand polish

  • Design swag, merch, and event branding to strengthen our culture

  • Stay ahead of social and design trends to keep SweatPals visually competitive

  • Provide ongoing design support for hosts, communities, and business partners

  • Move fast and experiment — deliver quick-turn assets for campaigns and partnerships

What You BringExperience
  • 3+ years of experience in brand design with motion skills

  • Portfolio showcasing brand systems, motion design, and campaign work

  • Experience working in startups or fast-paced environments preferred

  • Bonus: experience with fitness, lifestyle, or creator brands

Skills
  • Strong command of Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop and Canva

  • Motion design proficiency (After Effects, Rive, Lottie, or similar)

  • Basic video editing skills for social and product content

  • Strong typography, layout, and visual storytelling instincts

  • Familiarity with marketing creative needs (ads, landing pages, A/B testing)

  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects

  • Clear communicator and confident collaborator across teams

You’ll Thrive Here If You…
  • Have a strong sense of taste, tone, and storytelling

  • Take ownership and pride in quality, even in fast turnarounds

  • Are energized by autonomy and ambiguity

  • Think like a trendsetter — remix trends to make them ours

  • Care deeply about craft and raising the creative bar

  • Use modern tools and AI to work smarter and scale faster

Our Values
  • Celebrate Diversity : Different perspectives make us better.

  • Be a Leader : Initiative is a mindset, not a title.

  • Roll Up Our Sleeves : No job is too small when building something big.

  • Embrace the Adventure : We stay curious and see challenges as opportunities.

Why Join SweatPals
  • Help shape a brand that stands for joy, connection, and belonging

  • Own creative and strategic projects from day one

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Flexible PTO and remote-friendly policies

  • Monthly fitness & wellness allowance

  • Team workouts, IRL events, and early access to SweatPals tools

How to Apply

Please include a portfolio link with examples of brand design and motion work (social content, campaigns, product animations, launch assets). Bonus points for context on your role, creative process, and results. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Compensation Range: $60K - $90K
