Position Overview:We are seeking a part-time, bilingual Topic Finder to join our dynamic team; specifically, someone who is fluent in Hindi. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying engaging and relevant topics that align with our YouTube content strategy, diving into sources throughout India. You will leverage your research skills and internet savviness to access fresh and interesting stories for our main video channel.Key Responsibilities: Find topics for the YouTube Creative team. Provide research support for Lead Writer, Lead Researcher, and Production Team.Follow trending topics and stay up-to-date on relevant news stories. Coordinate with other researchers to sort and assess topics.Work with writers to determine research focus for each topic.Qualifications: Must be extremely internet savvy, including on sites like Feedly, Alerts, Medium, 4chan, etc.Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role, and in-depth knowledge in designing, planning, and executing research projects.Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to facilitate effective communication across diverse teams.Must speak and write Hindi fluently, and translate between Hindi and English with speed and accuracyMust be familiar with Indian culture/history/religion/lawCompensation: $100, U.S. dollars, per approved full episode topic pitch; $500, U.S. dollars, per full episode research packet.If youre excited to contribute to a growing studio with a dedicated following and have a passion for research and storytelling, wed love to hear from you.This is a freelance, contract-based position.
