Base pay range $50.00/hr - $60.00/hr Job Title: Azure Infrastructure & Security Engineer Location: Phoenix, AZ - Hybrid (4 days onsite) Type: Contract We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join our team. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen and scale our client's Microsoft Azure environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong grasp of both infrastructure and security; someone who can provide hands-on technical expertise, think strategically about emerging technologies, and jump in to resolve critical issues at any hour. Your role: Design, implement, and maintain Azure security architecture across network, compute, and storage layers. Lead the execution of security strategies, ensuring compliance, resilience, and best practices within the Azure ecosystem. Collaborate with engineering and leadership teams to evaluate and integrate new Microsoft products and services. Provide strategic analysis of upcoming Azure features and determine fit for enterprise adoption. Support troubleshooting and incident resolution, including after-hours critical escalations. Build secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions with an emphasis on automation and performance. What you've got: Proven experience as a Microsoft Azure Engineer with a focus on infrastructure and security. Prior experience working in a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of network architecture, storage, and compute services within Azure. Expertise in security architecture design and implementation, including identity management, access controls, and monitoring. Hands-on experience integrating new cloud services into existing environments. Ability to act as a "jack-of-all-trades" technologist-equally comfortable with architecture, strategy, and tactical execution. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, "go-getter" mentality. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse technical teams. Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP) strongly preferred.
