Position Summary:
We are looking for a driven attorney with 0–5 years of experience who is ready to take ownership of meaningful work from day one. The associate will be thoroughly trained and responsible for handling many aspects of civil litigation —from intake and pleadings to discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation—with the support and mentorship of experienced litigators.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of civil rights and public interest matters

  • Draft complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy

  • Appear in court for hearings, mediations, and case management conferences

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in California

  • 0–5 years of civil litigation or related legal experience (internships and clinics count)

  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Commitment to civil rights and public interest law

  • Highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn
