About the Role:
The Appraisal Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the financial institution's lending and credit decision processes by providing accurate and timely property valuations. The specialist collaborates
closely with loan officers and external appraisal vendors to facilitate the appraisal process and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Ultimately, this role contributes to the institution’s ability to make
informed credit decisions that protect assets and promote sustainable growth across multiple branch locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior banking experience with an understanding of real estate lending is preferred.
Proficiency in appraisal software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
Ability to work with others, including but not limited to, Appraisal Review Department staff, Loan Personnel, and Appraisers.
Be willing to take beginner appraiser classes as time permits.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with internal teams and external appraisal vendors to order appraisals and ensure timely delivery of reports.
Maintain detailed records of appraisal activities and documentation to support audit and regulatory requirements.
Stay informed on real estate market trends, appraisal techniques, and regulatory changes affecting property valuations.
Responsible for maintaining the bank's approved appraiser list.
Skills:
