We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Franklin, Indiana. This is a Contract-to-permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to grow within the organization and contribute to essential financial processes. The ideal candidate will support accounting operations by performing key tasks in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.

Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable transactions, including coding invoices and ensuring accurate payments.
• Manage accounts receivable tasks, such as tracking outstanding payments and reconciling accounts.
• Prepare and issue bills to clients while maintaining records of billing activities.
• Verify the accuracy of financial documents and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in maintaining organized financial records and databases.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Respond to inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Contribute to improving processes and procedures within the accounting department.• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Familiarity with coding invoices and billing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
• A high level of organizational skills to maintain records and processes.
• Previous experience in a similar accounting role is preferred.
