LHH is seeking a an Accounting/HR Assistant for an wonderful engineering company is Marietta, GA. This role supports daily business operations by combining accounting, HR, and administrative tasks. Primary responsibilities include managing financial processes (e.g., timekeeping, payables, reconciliations), supporting compliance, and assisting with IT and HR functions such as onboarding and recordkeeping.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting (75%)

  • Verify weekly timesheets in Ajera.

  • Support payroll processing and input third-party payables.

  • Process payments (check/ACH) per policy.

  • Reconcile credit cards and liability accounts.

  • Maintain fixed asset records and vehicle documentation.

  • File accounting records weekly.

  • Recommend process automation improvements.

  • Perform other assigned duties.

Operations (15%)

  • Manage IT inventory and supply orders.

  • Maintain records of subscriptions and utilities.

  • Support branding and IT service requests.

  • Document internal procedures and suggest automation.

  • Perform other assigned duties.

Human Resources (10%)

  • Maintain electronic HR files.

  • Reconcile PTO between Ajera and Paycom.

  • Prepare onboarding packets and update handbooks.

  • Support Paycom workflows (e.g., evaluations, training, job descriptions).

  • Recommend HR process improvements.

  • Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe.

  • Experience with Ajera, Paycom, and third-party payroll systems a plus.

  • Familiarity with FAR audit procedures is beneficial.

  • Strong Excel and accrual accounting skills.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines, including occasional after-hours work.
